General FAQ's
Where are you based?
Just for your Occasion are based on Denby Dale Road in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Just a five minute drive fro the M1.
Which area's do you cover?
Just for your Occasion covers a wide range of areas including:
West Yorkshire
South Yorkshire
North Yorkshire*
North East*
Derbyshire*
(If your venue is in an area marked with an astrix, please enquire to see if we cover your venue)
How far do you travel?
For weekend hire (Fri-Sun), We travel up to 50 minutes away from our base in Wakefield. For weekday hire (Mon-Thurs) we will travel over the 50 minute threshold depending on availability.
If you are unsure on how far your venue is from Wakefield , please drop us a message and we’ll be more than happy to help.
How often should we expect communication?
At the time of booking, we collect most of the information we need for your day.
Around one month before your wedding, we’ll send a check-in email. This gives you the chance to share any final details, updates, or specific setup instructions we may need.
You’re always welcome to email us before then if there’s anything you’d like to discuss. During busy wedding season, replies may take a little longer as we’re also balancing family life with our two little boys, but we’ll always get back to you as soon as we can.
Do you have PLI & PAT Testing?
Yes. All of our bookings are insured with our Public Liability insurance covering up to £5M.
Can we have copies of your PLI & PAT?

How do I book?
To book a service with us, please send us an enquiry from our contact us page. We will then setup an online invoice for you to make a deposit payment.
How much is the deposit?
We require a £75 deposit for ALL bookings. This is payable within two weeks of the invoice being issued.
When is my deposit due?
Once an invoice has been sent, you deposit of £75 is due within two weeks of your invoice being sent.
If this time has passed, please drop us a message before making payment so we can check that your date is still available.
What payments methods do you take?
We accept bank transfer as our main method of payment. We can also accept payments via credit card. Get in touch to find out more.
What if I want to cancel my booking?
If you want to cancel your booking with us, please contact us and we will close your account and cancel your invoice. You will be refunded all balance payments paid deducting any non refundable deposit payments. Refunds are payable within 3-5 working days by your original payment method.
What happens if you can't fulfil my booking?
If in the unfortunate event we are unable to make your booking due to instances out of our control, we will attempt to make arrangements for an alternative company to make your booking (with your permission) – we will however offer you a full refund of all payments made and a sincere apology. In our 4 years of operation this has not happened and we will be in touch with you at all stages of your booking.
When is my final balance due?
Your final balance is due four weeks before your wedding day.
Equipment FAQ's
Do you do the set up on the day?
Yes, Just for your Occasion take care of the full set up on the day.
Does the course come with an attendant?
Not all courses come with an attendant. We offer both attended and full day hire services. You can book a course that does come with an attendant, or you can opt to have an attendant with your course for an additional cost.
What happens if it rains?
Unfortunately, Just for your Occasion cannot control the weather.
We strongly advise when booking with us that you have/or have made indoor space available in order for the course to fit inside.
How does drop-off and collection work?
Where possible, we’re happy to liaise directly with your venue regarding drop-off and collection. Moving forward, we’ll ask for the contact details of your wedding coordinator or a suitable venue contact so we can arrange this with them directly.
We aim to drop off before your ceremony, as long as this does not interfere with the venue’s schedule or your ceremony setup. Collections usually begin from 8pm.
Can we change our games choices?
Yes of course, this is dependent on availability and we ask for no more changes a month prior to your date and a maximum of two total changes just to reduce the risk of any errors for your big day.
Can we move items around on the day?
We ask for safety reasons that the final set up space of our bigger items is the final set up this includes things like our mini golf and darts as some our items can be very heavy.
When will we receive our damage deposit back?
When we send your check-in email, we’ll ask for the bank details you’d like the damage deposit returned to.
Your damage deposit will be returned within one week after your wedding, provided everything is returned in good condition. If there are any damages, we’ll always discuss this with you first.
How many golf clubs & balls do you leave?
We leave a selection of 15 clubs for Adult, Children and Toddlers, including 15 golf balls.
